Chargemaster released their latest charging point called the Powercharge, a compact electric vehicle charging point, specifically designed for workplace charging.
The new Powercharge from Chargemaster can provide businesses with a solution for open access workplace charging, without the need for any keys or RFID cards.
David Martell, chief executive of Chargemaster, said: “As the electric vehicle market in the UK continues to grow significantly, we are seeing an increasing number of enlightened businesses realising the need to provide charging points at their workplaces for fleet, staff and visitor vehicles. Powercharge provides a simple, robust and cost-effective charging solution for any business car park.”
The unit is available in 7kW (30A) specification as standard, with 3.6kW (16A) available as an option, using a single-phase 230-volt AC electricity supply in either case. As with all Chargemaster charging points, Powercharge is manufactured in the UK.
Powercharge, available from just £795 + VAT, can be wall-mounted or floor-standing, in both cases providing two standard Type 2 charging sockets, which are compatible with every electric car and van on the market today.
The slim and strong unit is a design that is exclusive to Chargemaster, made from extruded aluminium and weighing just 11kg. Offering a compact width of 220mm, a depth of 120mm, and a height of either 830mm (wall-mounted) or 1,242mm (floor-standing).
Powercharge is easy and cost-effective to install by any competent and qualified electrician, and protects electric vehicles while they are charging with advanced overload protection and electric current management software.
